Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Lakewood, New Jersey

Type: Contract To Hire

Compensation: $23 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Mon-Fri, from 8am to 4:30pm with OT as needed

Shipping & Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements.

Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing materials.

Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.

Label, tag, and store received materials in designated locations.

Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Check shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips.

Track shipments and resolve any discrepancies or delays with vendors or transporters.

Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Complete cycle counts Using SAP and Microsoft 350 to

Shipping & Receiving Clerk Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Forklift experience

Experience with inventory counts and receiving raw materials

Strong computer skills

SAP experience is a huge plus

Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, ERP systems).

Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
