Job Title: MEP Drafter

Location: Newark, NJ

Type: Contract (6 Months)

Compensation: $30-$40/hour

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Monday through Friday (9AM to 5PM)

MEP DRAFTER

RESPONSIBILTIIES:

Will take direction from senior engineers, documenting their designs, producing plans, sections, elevations, single line diagrams, layout drawings, details, schedules, etc.

Drafting & documentation of MEP systems for various structures

Planning of electrical infrastructure, including sub-stations, generators, EV charging stations, solar panel arrays, etc.

Assist with specifications writing

Preparation of contract documents

QUALIFICATIONS

HSD/GED required; secondary education or technical training preferred

3-5+ years' experience in a similar role

Familiarity with ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards a plus

Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and telecommunications drafting preferred

Understanding of standard MEP drafting symbols

Revit Drafting a plus

AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat experience required
