Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in San Jose, California, for a Contract to permanent position. This on-site role is ideal for someone with experience in tax preparation and a keen eye for detail, especially during high-volume tax seasons. The position involves working with individual and business tax returns, utilizing Lacerte Tax Software, and adhering to compliance standards throughout the tax season.

Responsibilities:

Accurately enter tax data for individual (1040) and business returns into Lacerte Tax Software.

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns under supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Organize and verify supporting tax documentation to maintain proper records.

Ensure all data entries are complete and error-free before submission.

Assist with client document intake and manage files efficiently.

Meet daily deadlines during peak tax season to maintain workflow.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold compliance standards in all tasks.

Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth operations. Requirements - Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software is mandatory.

Prior experience in tax preparation or seasonal tax work is preferred.

Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data entry tasks.

Ability to handle multiple tax returns and prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of individual and business tax forms and regulations.

Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment during high-volume periods.
