About the Position: The incumbent will apply professional expertise in civil engineering and construction management to direct, advise on, and administer complex construction and contracts. This role involves the supervision and administration of assigned projects. Responsibilities Review contract plans/specifications/payment requests/progress schedules/submittals/request for information covering heavy civil works construction and appurtenant mechanical and electrical installations. Make daily field inspections of ongoing actual construction projects to determine organizational adequacy. Ensure technical problems during site preparation and construction operations are resolved with minimal impact on project execution. Work with customers/sponsors/outside agencies to promote favorable and effective working relations and ensure adequate construction progress is maintained. Responsible for administration and oversight of construction contracts. Work involves originating new and improved applications and strategies for engineering or architectural concepts, theories, and principles.
