Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm in Midland, Texas. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail to contribute to a dynamic team while enjoying competitive benefits and a balanced work environment. The role may transition to a permanent placement for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

Manage a comprehensive range of secretarial tasks, including timekeeping, handling paperwork, coordinating travel arrangements, and dictation as needed.

Provide legal support by preparing and filing briefs, assisting with trial preparation, and drafting correspondence.

Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date client files.

Utilize case management software and other tools to support daily law firm operations efficiently.

Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.

Handle billing functions and maintain financial records related to client matters.

Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized workflows.

Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering attentive and timely support.

Stay updated on legal practices and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role.

Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.

Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and CompuLaw.

Demonstrated ability to handle billing functions and briefing tasks effectively.

Strong organizational skills with experience in calendar management and client relations.

Knowledge of trial preparation and legal document filing procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment of a law firm while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. TalentMatch®
