Job Title: 1st Shift Shipping Clerk/Warehouse Worker Job Description

Join a dynamic distribution company specializing in automotive parts as a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. You will work on the first shift with flexible start times from 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM until 2 PM or 3 PM. This role involves various tasks that contribute to efficient shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities

Receive, restock inventory, manage dispatch, and handle overstock.

Load and unload materials from trucks.

Break down boxes and package items for shipment.

Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.

Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed.

Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry.

Package items for shipment.

Essential Skills

Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and order picking.

Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Capability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.

Comfortable climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or squatting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders, about 5-7 steps, and occasionally a 15 ft stair ladder.

Self-motivated and able to work individually in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Work in a high-noise environment due to forklifts operating throughout the facility. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. The dress code includes plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
