Requisition #: 1111111111117636 Vice President - Global Banking Americas Transversal & Investment Banking Business Manager at BNP Paribas 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019 Job Duties: Business strategy definition: Develop a good understanding of market trends and competitive landscape. Build analysis for strategic orientation based on internal and external data. Support the Global Banking Americas (GBA) COO in their strategies and internal governance. Support the Heads of Corporate Clients Group North America, Corporate Clients Group Latin America, Advisory North America, and Advisory Latin America in their strategies and internal governance. Ensure strong relationships with business partners: quantitative research, Compliance, Legal, Risk, IT, Operations, Finance, Conduct and Controls, etc. Performance monitoring: Ensure Investment Banking (IB) has the required performance and management indicators. Prepare ad-hoc or recurring management dashboards and activity reports (e.g. pipelines). Strong focus on providing takeaways-oriented analyses vs. only descriptive data. Analyze market data, extract competitive insights and identify strategic growth opportunities. Financial planning: Coordinate budgeting and forecasting process for IB and M&A. Understand and cross-check data to ensure consistency with overall business strategy and market trends. Data accuracy controls: Investigate and control data with a risk-based and materiality approach. Automate as much as possible recurring data issues. Project execution: Identify, design, and lead (or contribute) to the implementation of business projects, by completing complex problem solving, financial analysis, and optimization strategies. Organization support: Assist business and GBA management in ad-hoc transversal topics (e.g. floor move, US open tickets organization, hiring process review, credit management sectorization, audits, etc). Manage operational impacts of organizational changes within GBA in link with HR, finance and business. Support business development Initiatives (e.g. 2030 plan). * Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York, NY. Position requirements: Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field and five (5) years in offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Experience in a large bank or similar organization. Must have two (2) years of experience with: COO/Business Management capacity and/or Business Development/Project Management environment; Quantitative and qualitative financial analysis of market performance, revenue growth, market share, share of wallet, client penetration, and segmentation; Advanced data analysis to be used as input for development of revenue maximization strategy across business/IB; Financial research analysis using modeling tools such as Excel, Power BI, MS Lists, and Tableau; Banking industry experience and/or knowledge of Corporate Bank products and Global Banking business areas; Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationship with Front Office senior management.
