Job Summary

Under the direction of the Shared Business Operations (SBO) leadership, the Accounting Supervisor - SBO is responsible for contributing to the success of the organization by overseeing the work of a team of professionals that supports Financial Operations.

Essential Functions

Leads and manages a team of accounting professionals, setting goals, manageing performance, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive and productive team culture.

Oversees the system of internal controls in related area(s) to identify and minimize risk as well as comply with company policies.

Works with Internal and External auditors to provide support and explanations for any selections related to areas of responsibility.

Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Participates in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to areas of responsibility.

Collaborates with other departments, including but not limited to, corporate accounting, legal, tax, and financial operations, to ensure accurate and timely accounting management.

Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account informaiton and analyzing trends.

Builds and maintains relationships with accounting authorities, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective accounting management.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred

Minimum 3 years Accounting or Finance experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

General Ledger experience required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Advanced Excel skills required

Google Suite experience preferred

Oracle experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Managerial Accountant preferred
