Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Consulting Services organization. The Senior Data Engineer will be a hands-on builder of a cloud-native, centralized data platform with end-to-end traceability -- architecting the data model, owning database management (performance, security, reliability), building ETL pipelines, and configuring / administering Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and other analytic tools to deliver trusted results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database management
Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and star/snowflake schemas
Hands-on experience with designing and implementing data warehousing and analytics
Hands-on experience with data transformations, data extractions from various sources of data, data processing and data load into Oracle or other relational databases
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices
Understanding of Linux, Unix, and networking fundamentals
Strong expertise in Oracle Database technologies (e.g., Oracle RDBMS)
Proven experience with SQL, PL/SQL , Oracle partitioning , and performance tuning
Strong knowledge of ETL pipeline design and implementation for large-scale data systems
Proficiency in shell scripting , Python , or other automation tools
Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts
Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting and presenting solutions
Responsibilities
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience integrating Oracle databases with other applications in Cloud environment or big data platforms.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) , AWS , or Azure.
Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering @context
Desired experience with transforming and loading data from various source formats into target data warehouse Oracle database structures.
Experience with modeling data and building self-serve dashboards in Analytics tools such as Oracle Analytics, Power BI, Tableau or others.
Experience with streaming data architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, Oracle Stream Analytics)
Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Big Data certification) are a plus
Required Credentials and Experience:
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph
8 + years of experience relevant to this position
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
