Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.Essential Duties:Maintenance Support Tech I: Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or frontdesk assistant.Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipment.Assists in preparing monthly and final maintenance contract estimates.Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services onadjustments needed.Coordinates with District Warehouse personnel on surplus property sales of miscellaneous items.Edits correspondence, reports, forms, and documents for proper format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, typographicalerrors, syntax, style, sentence structure, content, and clarity.Maintains equipment service records.Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance,budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.Maintains radio contact with field units;
