Salary: Starting at 80k - 95k (Based on experience - Excellent benefit package)

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support and problem-solving expertise for manufacturing operations at the La Vergne facility. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for process improvement, increasing efficiency, reducing cost, and supporting plant-wide operational excellence initiatives.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical ability, hands-on experience, and the capability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using structured problem-solving tools (5-Why, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)

Continuous improvement and or lean manufacturing principles

Create, access, and reduce cycle time and manufacturing costs

Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes and supporting documentation aligned with safety, quality, and production systems

Lead and support implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies

Analyze production data to recommend improvements in methods, tooling, and equipment to reduce costs

Manage multiple priorities with urgency and accountability

Identify and eliminate variability within standard manufacturing processes

Support process optimization and equipment reliability initiatives

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field OR equivalent manufacturing experience

Experience in manufacturing processes

Skills & Competencies

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation

Working knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office

Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Demonstrated success implementing corrective actions

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
