Job Title : Director, Performance Improvement

What You Will Do:
Responsible for developing, leading and sustaining the manufacturing plant's continuous improvement culture while partnering with cross-functional leadership and team members to reach targeted business and operational goals through Lean and Six Sigma techniques. As a continuous improvement leader, the focus is to train, coach, and mentor team members and co-workers on a range of skills from tactical improvement techniques to overall strategy. Coaches, trains, and evaluates staff to drive culture of empowerment and capabilities. Responsible for developing the plant strategy for the long term plant vision in delivery manufacturing excellence results. Responsible for performance data analytics and benchmarking.
Develops, strategizes, executes and supports Continuous Improvement projects focusing on Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Quality, Cost, and Safety of the plant.
Drives a Performance Improvement culture across the functional teams and provides ongoing coaching, support, training and development. Provides departmental/plant direction to independently execute projects. Ensures execution of CI projects directly impact KPIs identified within Plant Scorecard.
Directly responsible for OMA's R4G long-term strategic vision and the execution of aligned roadmap & frame.
Collaborate with Internal Controls to ensure CI culture is directly influenced with process improvements. Serves as one of the main liaisons with NOE & DGO to ensure local processes are in line with Group Norms.
Identify and lead Continuous Improvement opportunities, define scope and project goals. Collaborates to determine financial impact of these CI Projects.
Develop and update Six Sigma training materials. Directly provide formal and informal lean training (six sigma, Kaizen). Coach and guide trainees to accelerate execution and completion of black/green belt projects
Communicate project objectives and metrics, resolve barriers and monitor lean initiatives.
Coordinates and/or executes specific skill training for management teams in cooperation with HR.
Develops a CI roadmap/master plan annually for the entire facility and provides assistance for the execution (facilitation, coordination, visualization).
Proactively collaborates with regional/network and local CI Managers from other plants across categories/countries in order to communicate the global benchmarking methodology. Supports regional/network CI Manager on benchmarking best practice database.
Ensures technical excellence and consistent approach with common language and toolsets.
Drive the steering meetings regarding performance improvement initiatives.
Partner with corporate operations to implement performance improvement projects/processes and influence the direction the organization in alignment with the needs of the plant.
Ensure that all objectives are tracked through scorecards that define the teams' performance and are used by the team on regular basis.
Conduct regular audits and assessment on the processes implemented.
What We Are Looking For:
8+ years of experience in process improvement and with proven ability to demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives that have led to improved performance
Demonstrated lean manufacturing skills and experience
Able to combine assertive initiative with professional discipline and demeanor to accomplish difficult tasks through other people
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including experience in statistical analysis coupled with the ability to provide objective feedback and accurate root cause analysis
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and an understanding of simplification/improvement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence a wide array of personnel from plant floor hourly employees to HQ management, and across supply chain functions
Demonstrated ability in leading an operation through a significant transition or transformation; delivering under difficult situations, and adapting to new work environments
Demonstrated understanding of successful change leadership and principles of design
Proven leadership skills, project management skills and business acumen
Excellent training and presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices; both oral and written
What's In It For You:
Salary Range: $126,900 - $184,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
