Overview

Be part of the nation's only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Administrative Assistant and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work in the Information Resource Management department with duties to include, but not limited to: assisting in the development and publishing of departmental correspondence/documents, proofing and developing internal and external presentations, serving as the departmental Training Coordinator, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, processing expense reimbursements, managing the assignment of administrative duties through the department, managing the department's records as the Records Coordinator, serving as the Office Warden for the department, and all other duties as assigned. Will support other programs and personnel within the IRM department and complete other duties as assigned.

The position requires ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of management, employees, and job applicants. Must exercise good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in all matters.

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree with two (2) years of experience as an Adminstrative Assistant, or

High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant is required.

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.

Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Non-exempt grade level(s) 24-26. Salary range: $53,509 to $91,009 per year --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate's relevant experience and education.
