This position serves as the principal administrative and secretarial assistant to the Publications and Plan Quality Administrator and performs and acts with authority and a high level of responsibility on administrative details, using independent judgment and initiative to control workflow through the Publications and Plan Quality Administrator's office.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Independently acts with authority and judgment in matters of a routine nature in the absence of the Publications and Plan Quality Administrator.
Customizes and @type correspondence as needed for section workflow, including, but not limited to, signatures of the Secretary, Assistant Secretary, or the Chief Engineer.
Maintains up-to-date files on action documents and initiates follow-up correspondence on pending matters to ensure action of disposition.
Interprets departmental policies and procedures for section employees.
Administers the personnel program for all personnel actions, including posting positions, reallocations, and separations.
Maintains complete and accurate records on all section employees.
Prepares and enters payroll according to state property rules and departmental payroll rules.
Position-Specific Details:
Compensation: Starting hourly salary of this position is $18.04/hr. and the maximum is $35.40/hr.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a probational appointment; a promotion; or by detail to special duty.
