Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Dayton, Ohio, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will excel in cash applications and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Accurately apply incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, to customer accounts on a daily basis.

Investigate and resolve issues related to unapplied cash, ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly and effectively.

Collaborate with teams across accounts receivable, billing, and collections to streamline cash application processes.

Generate reports on cash application metrics, including aging and unapplied balances, to provide actionable insights.

Maintain detailed documentation and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Contribute to system updates and process improvements to enhance efficiency in cash applications.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and adhere to accounting standards and best practices. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or general accounting roles.

Familiarity with cash management processes and billing functions.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
