Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description

The role involves operating a slitter, assembly, labeling, quality control, and packaging. In certain areas, minor setup and equipment operation may be required.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery including slitters and other equipment.

Perform assembly and labeling tasks.

Conduct quality control checks to ensure product standards.

Package products efficiently and accurately.

Assist with minor setup and equipment operation as necessary.

Essential Skills

Experience in machine operation, packaging, and assembly.

At least 6 months of prior warehouse or equivalent experience.

Manual dexterity and good coordination.

Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in production and material handling.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean environment in teams of 2-4. The dress code requires jeans or work pants, and no leggings or sweatpants. All personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, nitrile gloves, and cut-resistant gloves, must be worn, while steel toe boots should be self-supplied. The first shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime based on workload.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marshalltown, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
