SUMMARY
Serve as an example to team members in the Kitting Department. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Assists in the supervision and coordination of activities required for daily kitting operations assigned by the kitting supervisor. The selected individual will work in a large warehouse environment receiving items from delivery trucks and placing items in the appropriate warehouse area. Manually loading or unloading trucks or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations according to the WMS. The persons in this position will work relatively unsupervised throughout the day receiving merchandise and placing it in proper storage areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training employees, encouraging, and motivating employees, soliciting input, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Use radio-frequency stock locator to receive and put away stock.
Reports any discrepancies in orders to warehouse supervisor.
When required, key in 15-digit part numbers into computer.
Print packing list and pick tickets for orders.
Daily use of a fork truck, reach truck, push carts, motorized pallet jacks.
Basic computer usage, Excel, and Word.
Meets deadlines.
Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use and cleaning.
Perform quality checks.
Run end of week inventory from WMS.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able lift up to 40 pounds on a moderate basis.
Must be able lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
No positive drug screen for the past 12 months.
Must have reliable transportation to get between job locations.
Obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
Basic reading and writing levels.
Basic math, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Basic Computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Maintain respectful communication, give, and receive feedback.
Ability to follow directions.
Problem solving skills.
Perform job tasks independently.
Ability to multi-task effectively.
