Summary The position is located within the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) School Lunch Program Division, Fort Stewart, GA. Army NAF Pay setting rules apply to this vacancy. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Works under the direction of an activity manager, who provides general instructions, standard procedures, and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quality of work. Serves as a working supervisor over the kitchen work area exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations. Establishes deadlines, priorities, work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods and policies set by supervisors. Participates with superiors in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs and estimates. Assigns tasks to subordinates. Explains work requirements, methods and procedures, instruct subordinates in new procedures. Investigates and determines causes for work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity. Experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. 2. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. 3. Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job 4. Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional Information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who are within the Local / Surrounding Commuting Area. NOTE: Local / Surrounding Commuting area defines as within 50 miles of Fort Stewart. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.) PCS Costs Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized. based on a determination that a PCS move not in the Government's interest. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
