Hours: 50 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 10 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
The start and end of the workday depend on crop and weather conditions, which means work may begin or end earlier or later than usual. Evening and/or night hours may be required. Possible weekend/holiday work.

Duties may include assisting with daily farm operations, including but not limited to: operating various farm equipment (e.g., combines, tractors, trucks) for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting crops; loading and unloading trucks; and climbing ladders and grain bins as needed.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and repairing machinery, such as changing fluids, rotating tires, cleaning grain bins, washing vehicles, replacing brakes, checking tire pressure, and performing general equipment maintenance. Additional duties may involve grounds maintenance for the farm and/or employee housing (e.g., mowing, weed trimming), maintaining and cleaning the shop area, and performing other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
This position involves manual labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working extended hours in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold. Rainy days are typically spent in the shop repairing equipment and preparing for upcoming work.
The worker must be able to communicate effectively in English, follow instructions, and be physically capable of performing all essential job duties and related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities in accordance with SOC/OES Code 45-2091 (see onetonline.org).

Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
2 months of experience relevant to the job is required.
Worker must be at least 18 years of age.
Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
Worker must be able to exert maximum physical effort to lift, push, pull, unload, and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with two-person assistance as needed. The position requires the ability to climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, clean equipment, and ground area for extended periods.
Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver's license within 2 weeks of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

Additional Compensation
Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
