This position requires an employee to be onsite at 1111 Highway 73 Moose Lake, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) is available on a limited basis.

Only candidates residing in Minnesota or a state bordering Minnesota (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) within 50 miles of the work address listed above are eligible for telework.

Candidates residing in Minnesota and more than 50 miles from the primary/principal work address above may be eligible to telework more than 50%.

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.

As a Psychologist 3 you will provide specialized forensic psychological services focused on civil commitment cases involving individuals who have sexually offended. The role requires a highly skilled, independent psychologist with expertise in Sexual violence risk assessments.

Responsibilities include:

conducting comprehensive assessments and risk evaluations,

providing research-informed consultation

delivering expert forensic opinions

Upon licensure, the Psychologist 3 supervises and trains unlicensed psychologists, offers advanced consultation and problem-solving, and mentors staff to strengthen the department's overall clinical expertise

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology* AND

Licensure as a psychologist (LP) by the Minnesota Board of Psychology or License Eligible

Doctoral level graduates working towards licensure may be hired on a provisional basis and receive supervision under a licensed MSOP Psychologist to obtain licensure

*Note: Candidates working toward an applicable degree may apply for a contingent offer based on anticipated graduation/degree conferral

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in sexual violence risk assessment

Experience testifying and completing court-ordered evaluations

Knowledge of mental health case law

EDUCATION VERIFICATION - Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their high school diploma at time of interview OR copies of their college transcript or college degree/diploma at time of interview. Copies of the college degree/diploma are acceptable ONLY if it clearly identifies the field in which it was earned

Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
