Job Title: Framer/General Laborer ($$20-25 BASED ON EXPERIENCE!!!)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced commercial construction environment. This role involves supporting various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to exact specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure distances from grade stakes, drive them, and stretch tight lines.

Bolt, nail, align, and block forms accurately.

Signal operators of construction equipment to ensure proper alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery according to grade specifications.

Level earth to fine grade specifications using a shovel or pick.

Mix concrete using a portable mixer and smooth freshly poured concrete using a float, trowel, or screed.

Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections effectively.

Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces in accordance with job and safety specifications.

Apply paints or other compounds over surfaces for protection.

Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.

Grind, sand, or polish surfaces like concrete, marble, or wood flooring using abrasive tools or machines.

Install concrete reinforcing as directed.

Sort and remove forms from set concrete.

Perform tasks requiring dexterous use of hands and hand tools including tying rebar, cutting wood, using a jackhammer, dismantling forms, and shoveling.

Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.

Clean tools, equipment, materials, and the work area.

Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by your supervisor.

Understand and adhere to company safety policies at all times while working.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction, general labor, street construction, highway construction, utility construction, commercial construction, civil construction, bridge construction, residential construction, and concrete construction.

Knowledge in using hand tools and power tools.

At least 2 years of experience in commercial or residential construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Interest in learning new skills and improving capabilities.

Dependable work habits and willingness to complete tasks.

Open to participating in a training program to advance skills and earn higher wages.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Hill, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
