The Senior Manager, Trade Marketing - Confections, owns the commercial strategy, customer planning, and go-to-market execution for the Confections Division. This role is responsible for translating brand and category strategies into customer-ready plans and driving strong execution in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, and Supply Chain.
This role serves as the commercial integrator for the channel, owning planning, performance management, and trade investment to deliver profitable growth and best-in-class execution.
How you will contribute:
Channel Strategy & Customer Planning
· Own the channel/division commercial strategy aligned to company and category growth objectives.
· Lead customer and channel planning, including Joint Business Planning, growth plans, innovation planning, and annual activation strategies.
· Translate brand, category, and portfolio strategies into channel-specific commercial plans.
· Identify growth opportunities using customer, shopper, and market insights.
· Partner with Sales and Category to shape assortment, pricing, promotion, and activation strategies for the channel.
Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
· Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and in-year forecast processes for the channel.
· Own monthly and quarterly performance reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
· Track and manage volume, revenue, and trade investment performance vs plan.
· Drive strong financial discipline and ROI on trade and commercial spend.
· Continuously improve forecast accuracy, planning quality, and performance visibility.
Go-to-Market Execution
· Own the end-to-end go-to-market process for the channel, from planning through in-market execution.
· Lead execution of promotions, innovation launches, displays, and activation plans.
· Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure plans are aligned, feasible, and executable.
· Ensure strong coordination between strategy, sales execution, and operational delivery.
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Act as the channel commercial lead across Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, and Supply Chain.
· Lead key cross-functional forums for the channel (planning meetings, performance reviews, alignment sessions).
· Influence stakeholders to drive alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and execution.
· Provide clear communication and direction across complex, cross-functional workstreams.
Team & Capability Leadership
· Lead and develop the channel trade marketing team.
· Build strong planning, trade strategy, and execution capabilities within the channel team.
· Improve tools, processes, and ways of working to increase speed, clarity, and impact.

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $140,300 to $192,940; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
