Job Description
The Retail Sales Representative is a client-facing sales role within Distribution Finance Services (DFS), a specialized business unit of Equipment Finance. This role is responsible for building, managing, and expanding relationships with existing clients while identifying and qualifying new retail leasing opportunities. The position functions primarily as an inside sales role, focused on processing retail transactions, deepening existing portfolios, and supporting growth within a developing and expanding line of business.
Sales Representatives work closely with internal partners and support teams to deliver a high-quality client experience and ensure timely, accurate execution of leasing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage, and expand relationships with existing DFS clients through regular, consultative engagement
Identify, analyze, and qualify new retail leasing opportunities, including limited prospecting within approved channels
Process and manage retail equipment finance transactions from inquiry through funding
Explain leasing products, pricing, rates, and terms to clients in a clear and consultative manner
Partner closely with internal sales support and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless execution
Respond to inbound referrals and inquiries, including occasional requests from Business Banking partners
Maintain accurate pipeline activity and client information using internal systems and tools
Consult with clients on business strategies and demonstrate how Equipment Finance solutions can support profitability, competitiveness, and risk reduction
Participate in ongoing sales training and peer collaboration as the business continues to scale and grow
Products & Clients Supported
Equipment Finance solutions supporting:
Distribution, Industrial, and Material Handling equipment
Construction equipment - (e.g., yellow iron, dozers, excavators, loaders)
Select agricultural equipment
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent work experience
Eight to ten years of leasing and sales experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
Strong leasing sales, relationship management, and new business development skills
Knowledge of Equipment Finance (preferred)
Familiarity with U.S. Bank policies and procedures
Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to execute sales strategies
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Exposure to Salesforce for pipeline management is a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
