Basic Qualifications Education Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a DevOps engineer for Airborne Systems, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines and containerization environments tailored for embedded software projects. Your expertise will ensure seamless, efficient, and reliable deployment workflows, contributing directly to the quality and innovation of our embedded solutions. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projects using GitLab. Design, implement, and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure efficient, consistent, and scalable application deployment. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance development efficiency. Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines meet the unique needs of embedded systems. Integrate version control, build tools, test frameworks, and deployment systems into a cohesive pipeline. Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, addressing bottlenecks or failures promptly. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging tools in CI/CD and embedded development. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience administering and deploying to Red Hat Linux environments. Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for pipeline automation. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies. Familiarity with containerization and virtualization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, QEMU) in embedded @contexts. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of embedded software development and associated toolchains (e.g., GCC, Keil, IAR). Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing in CI/CD environments. Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their integration into pipelines. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. While on-site, you will be a part of the Bloomington, Minnesota office located at 8800 Queens Avenue S. Target salary range: USD $124,445.00/Yr. - USD $131,251.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
