Job Title: Medical Assistant - Front and Back OfficeJob Description

The position requires a professional with experience in both patient care and front office operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate courteous communication skills and consistent adherence to HIPAA guidelines. You will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor, assisting with the sign-in process, and ensuring their needs are met promptly. Your role will also support financial responsibilities, including staying informed about reimbursement and billing procedures, verifying information on Audit Journal, preparing bank deposits and credit card batches, and managing daily cash receipts.

Responsibilities

Receive and direct all communication courteously and consistently.

Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and office policy.

Answer phone calls quickly and direct them appropriately.

Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.

Assist patients with the sign-in process and respond promptly to their needs.

Support financial responsibilities, including reimbursement and billing procedures.

Verify information on Audit Journal, prepare bank deposits, and manage daily cash receipts.

Monitor general office supply inventory and equipment.

Collaborate with team members to determine their supply needs.

Essential Skills

Sterile processing technician skills including instrumentation, sterilization, decontamination, trays, assembly, case carts.

CRCST certification.

CMA certification.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.

Strong accountability for improving patients' lives.

Exceptional teamwork and dedication to ongoing education.

Passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience or strong hospital externship.

Must be able to travel to various locations.

Work Environment

The position is based in Hope Tower, offering ample opportunities for growth within the largest hospital group in NJ. The work environment does not require weekend shifts. The dress code includes scrubs and closed-toe shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEPTUNE, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
