The Montana Lottery is looking for a student intern to assist our computer department with our lotto games. You would be on-site to conduct a variety of verifications for our lotto game drawings such as entering and verifying winning numbers, verifying winner data, and verifying daily sales. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Lottery office in Helena, MT for an average of 9-12 hours per week and is expected to last up to one year or longer. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be students either accepted to or enrolled at an accredited educational institution and living in Helena, MT. (Freshman, Sophomore...) · Your major, if you have declared one. Work hours will be 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., nightly at the Lottery office in Helena, MT, 7-days on, 7-days off split between two positions. This position requires the successful completion of a background investigation (criminal, financial, and driving).This investigation may continue into the time after you have begun your employment. If the results of the investigation are, in the opinion of the Montana Lottery, not favorable, employment will not continue. This internship will benefit students majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, although students in all areas of study are encouraged to apply. COMPETENCIES: · Basic knowledge of computer science. · Attention to detail. · Ability to follow procedures. · Reliability. · Working independently without direct supervision. · Working knowledge of Windows programs such as Word and Excel. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
