Job Title: Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team working on a large-scale construction project in Lenoir, NC. This long-term project spans over two years and requires skilled and unskilled labor to ensure its successful completion. As a Construction Laborer and Cleaning Technician, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the job site, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Stand and direct pedestrian traffic on the job site, ensuring safety by holding stop/slow signs.

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, including site clean-up and setup of temporary structures.

Assist with rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, and protection systems.

Conduct inventory of supplies and communicate needs for re-stocking.

Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and company standards.

Understand and follow work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions.

Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety protocols.

Perform selected demolition and participate in subcontractor and supplier activities.

Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness and participate in end-of-day clean-up.

Perform fire watch duties, construct scaffolding, and manage the dumpster schedule.

Spot for heavy equipment operators and ensure security of equipment and work area.

Identify and communicate problems to supervisors for resolution.

Assist other craft workers as needed and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders.

Essential Skills

At least 6 months of construction experience.

Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.

Ability to read a tape measure and perform tasks involving carpentry and concrete.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in site logistics and construction waste management.

Ability to maintain a high level of teamwork, integrity, and commitment.

Capability to operate equipment safely and wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lenoir, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
