Electrician (Rittman, Ohio)

Immediate opening for a 2nd shift (3:00 PM-11:00 PM, Monday-Friday; weekend OT as needed) Electrician with strong industrial maintenance skills, including machine repair, PLC troubleshooting/repair, and motor diagnostics/repair. Journeyman certification is strongly preferred, but candidates with 10+ years of highly relevant experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain electrical equipment, control systems, conduit, power transmission lines, substations, and generators up to 69kV.

Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, including motors (installation, alignment, bearings), PLCs (diagnostics and repair), and both electronic and mechanical controls.

Maintain and repair industrial and building systems, including elevators, vibrators, and solid-state controls.

Interpret and work from complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for modern industrial environments.

Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and cleaning of motors, power equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and support production.

Ensure all work meets National Electric Code standards, while maintaining tools and equipment in proper working order and keeping work areas safe and organized.

Mentor and instruct less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Journeyman electrician certification or equivalent training/experience.

Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, including machine repair, PLC troubleshooting/repair, and motor maintenance/repair.

Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, equipment repair, and problem-solving.

Ability to lift up to 65 lbs., work in varying conditions, and use appropriate PPE.

Compensation:
