Now Hiring: Production Welders (Steel & Aluminum)

?? What You'll Do

This role supports multiple welding departments, including structural steel, aluminum trailer welding, and general fabrication. Typical responsibilities include:

MIG welding on steel beams, structural steel, or aluminum feed trailers

Reading and interpreting blueprints for welds, measurements, and layouts

Tack welding, assembling components, and preparing materials

Climbing into large bins or trailers to weld interior sections (aluminum roles)

Working independently at your own welding station

Producing consistent, high-quality welds on large components - some steel beams up to 2" thick and 50 ft long

Following safe work practices and maintaining a clean workstation

??? What You Bring

6+ months MIG welding experience (steel or aluminum)

At least 1 year of on-the-job welding experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Strong ability to measure accurately with a tape measure

Comfortable working in different positions (standing, climbing into trailers, etc.)

Ability to pass lift test & drug test

Willingness to work around 50 hours per week

Welding certificate or degree is a plus (not required)

This role supports both steel and aluminum welding operations in shop settings. You can expect:

A hands-on shop environment - cooler in winter, warmer in summer

Team-based culture, steady workflow, and clear expectations

Independent welding stations

Initial training on day shift before transitioning to assigned schedule

Departments include:

Structural welding

Aluminum trailer welding

Service/repair

Final assembly

Dress Requirements:

Long pants

Long-sleeve shirt

Steel-toed boots

Personal welding hood preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
