We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Farmington, Pennsylvania. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Position summary: Staff Accountant

Responsibilities/Description: Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month end support, journal entries, revenue reporting

Onsite /Shift: 100% onsite

Pay: $30 an hour

Contract to possible contract to hire

Responsibilities:

Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

Manage clearing accounts and bank tax processes effectively.

Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision.

Generate daily and revenue reports to support business operations.

Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth financial workflows.

Handle corporate and sales tax-related tasks as needed.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and company policies.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial procedures.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

Proficiency in corporate tax and sales tax processes.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
