Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER for the Department of the Navy (DON) on the staff of the Office of the Chief of Naval Intelligence & Security. Responsibilities You will provide advice, guidance and assistance on the interpretation and application of administrative directives and instructions, develop strategic long-range plans, and analyze plans to determine the impact on administrative processes. You will serve as the primary Defense Travel System authorizer for the Command, necessitating knowledge of temporary duty travel, per diem, regulations, and budget; assist personnel if any problems with travel authorizations and/or vouchers occur. You will direct and coordinate all administrative functions, advise on administrative matters, provide guidance and advice on the full range of administrative support services, and establish and maintain continuing relationships with key personnel. You will assist in the enforcement, compliance and adherence of the physical security program, assist in maintaining visitor control registry, arrange visit authorizations to gain access to restricted areas, and issues badges. You will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives and prepare reports and presentations for management. You independently draft a wide range of official government correspondence and documentation, including policy memorandums, briefing notes, formal responses to public and legislative inquiries, and official letters. You will develop and implement administrative strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity across the organization. You will manage the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses, preparing annual budgets, and analyzing variances. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and implementing administrative policies; AND providing administrative support on a wide range of personnel management decisions (e.g. manpower and resource management, training, monitoring personnel actions, and preparing a variety of correspondence).
