Job Summary
The Catering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of Bon Appétit's catering operations. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the catering industry. The Catering Manager will ensure effi cient operations, exceptional customer service, and profi tability for the catering department.

Key Responsibilities
? Operational Management:
? Develop and implement effi cient operational procedures to streamline catering processes.
? Manage catering staff , including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
? Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
? Monitor and analyze catering performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
? Customer Service:
? Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their complete satisfaction with catering services.
? Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
? Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote catering services and generate new business.
? Financial Management:
? Develop and manage the catering department's budget.
? Monitor and control costs to ensure profi tability.
? Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
? Quality Assurance:
? Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
? Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation.
? Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
? Event Planning and Execution:
? Oversee the planning and execution of catering events, from initial client consultation to on-site management.
? Coordinate with kitchen staff , servers, and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
? Manage event logistics, including transportation, equipment, and staffi ng.
Qualifications
? Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering management.
? Strong leadership and organizational skills.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Profi ciency in Microsoft Offi ce Suite and catering management software.
? Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
? Experience in event planning and coordination.
? Knowledge of food and beverage trends.
? Certifi cation in food safety or hospitality management
While this schedule and location are currently projected, they are flexible and may be adjusted to meet evolving business demands, including coverage needs.
