Description

We are looking for a skilled Discovery Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing discovery processes, analyzing legal data, and supporting labor and employment matters. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other legal professionals.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire discovery process, including tracking document production and ensuring compliance with legal deadlines.

Organize and maintain large volumes of legal data and document repositories with precision and efficiency.

Extract, compile, and analyze payroll reports from systems such as ADP, Paychex and other enterprise platforms.

Review time records, meal and rest break data, and personnel files to support wage-and-hour legal matters.

Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and external vendors to ensure smooth communication and timely completion of discovery tasks.

Uphold strict confidentiality and adherence to legal standards in all aspects of the role.

Assist in trial preparation by organizing litigation materials and ensuring readiness for proceedings.

Identify and address outstanding discovery items to ensure thorough legal compliance.

Requirements

Proven experience in discovery processes, particularly in labor and employment matters.

Strong background in handling civil litigation and trial preparation.

Proficiency in using payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex or similar platforms for data extraction and analysis.

Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with legal teams and external parties.

Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team setting.

Familiarity with managing high volumes of documents and legal data repositories.

Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to high standards in legal practice.
