Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Industrial Engineer Technician to join our team. This position is perfect for a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, as no prior professional experience is required. The Industrial Engineer Technician will be responsible for applying engineering principles to optimize and improve our metal finishing production processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction. This role involves hands-on work on the production floor, data analysis, and collaboration with all levels of the organization.

Since 1945, TCMF has made innovative, as well as necessary changes in the way we conduct everyday business. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long.

Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

Position Overview

Process Optimization & Efficiency:

Assist in observing, documenting, and analyzing current metal finishing processes (e.g., plating, anodizing, coating, polishing) to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement.

Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and workflow.

Conduct time studies and work measurement to establish and document standard work procedures and production rates.

Help design and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and equipment placement for maximum efficiency and reduced transit time.

Quality & Safety:

Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure processes adhere to quality standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, NADCAP)

Analyze production data to identify root causes of quality issues and process variation.

Contribute to designing and implementing control systems to monitor processes and ensure consistent product quality.

Project Support & Documentation:

Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation.

Assist in generating reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings, project progress, and recommendations to management and production teams.

Provide basic engineering support to production operators and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field (required).

No prior professional experience is required. Relevant coursework, university projects, or internships in a manufacturing environment are a plus.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Total Compensation Package

Wage

$17.50 - $25.00/hour (Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience)
