Who are we looking for?

Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Service Desk Specialist in the Data Center Operations department. The Service Desk is the team that handles requests and issues from all Choice Hotels employees. Everything from simple password resets to providing access to applications and onboarding new employees. As a key member of our Service Desk team, you will be providing that first point of contact for employees who are having an issue with their laptop or application, fulfilling requests, and keeping the entire company productive.

Your Responsibilities

Answer calls from employees needing help with various issues such as:

Password reset

Account Lockout

Application Access

Work tickets to fulfill requests such as:

New employee onboarding

Terminations

Application Access

Create and update documentation for the Service Desk

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

Superior customer service skills

Experience with Active Directory and/or LDAP

Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting hardware and applications

Experience troubleshooting VPN issues

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Demonstrates key competencies to include Effective Communication, Ensures Accountability and Customer Focus

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Data Center Operation. You will have 5 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Minneapolis, MN - Select roles are based in our Minneapolis office on Highway 394, near the intersection with Highway 100, only five minutes from downtown.

Field/Remote - Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
