Job Summary
PSEG Long Island is looking for a Program Intern for the Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Department
This job involves working as a support for reviewing applications that come in for electric vehicle charging stations as part of PSEG Long Island's EV Make Ready Program, Fleet Make Ready Program, and Residential Charger Rebate Program. This job will involve outreach to Applicants to give them updates on their project and analyze documentation for accuracy and completeness. The internship will also offer opportunities to learn about the latest in transportation electrification including managed charging, vehicle-to-grid, as well as public and fleet charging.
This position will be Hybrid Flexible
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
Review application paperwork submitted from applicants for various programs
Outreach to applicants on the status of their application(s)
Participate in meetings to learn about topics such as managed charging, public and fleet charging, and vehicle-to-grid.
Analyze data collected from EV charging stations to gain an understanding of how these chargers are used.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required education/skills:
The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, economics, marketing, business, finance, data science, engineering, environmental science, or computer science and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG Long Island recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG Long Island locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

All PSEG Long Island internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
