Summary The incumbent serves as the Program Support Assistant (PSA) to the Non-Institutional (NIC)/Extended Care Program RN Coordinators at the El Paso VA Health Care System (EPVAHCS). The PSA will provide support to a variety of programs and personnel within those programs. Responsibilities Aids the Program Coordinators in getting things accomplished through an extensive knowledge and understanding of the organization, regulation, methods and the other tools or resources of management. Assists in the receipt, review, processing and facilitation of digital signatures from VA providers for services rendered within the NIC/Extended Care programs. Is an important member of the team and is relied upon to have extensive communication with the Veteran enrolled in the programs. Supports all administrative functions for the non-institutional care programs. Maintains and tracks program census, assists in preparation of all program reports Assists in tracking internal reviews, action items, quality measures, and the efficiency of the NIC/Extended Care Programs. Performs work involving the collection, compilation and/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of the organization's non-institutional programs. Assists in the planning, review and reporting of data/statistical results of program studies. Coordinates incoming data from a variety of sources. Reviews documents, reports and ensures data entry is complete and accurate. Uses software applications to draw information to prepare/assist in preparation of reports. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: GS-5 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
