SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an Accountant that will perform various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work within one or more accounting functions, such as accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and reconcile payroll Create client invoices and manage full-cycle accounting for equipment rentals Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies on invoices or reports Interface with vendors, clients, and other accountants to resolve issues effectively Provide recommendations for cost-effective methods Foster and build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum of two years of related experience Detail orientation and organizational skills to manage multiple projects Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse feedback Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP accounting applications Preferred: Experience with Oracle and construction industry knowledge A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base compensation range for this role is the base pay range for this job is $72,900 - $109,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan. Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
