Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Manhattan Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This is a Contract to permanent position within the retail industry, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth.

Responsibilities:

Process and code invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Manage and reconcile asset inventory records to maintain accurate financial reporting.

Verify and match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation.

Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships.

Prepare and process payment batches, including checks and electronic transfers.

Assist with month-end closing activities by providing relevant accounts payable data.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and managing asset inventory.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.

Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

Ability to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of transactions.

Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
