THE OPPORTUNITY
The position entails providing support to a seasoned team of commercial real estate lenders and loan processors. The incumbent will gain exposure to various departments and personnel throughout the Bank, including senior management representing the origination, portfolio management, and credit review segments of the institution. The position is responsible for supporting an existing team of commercial real estate lenders in portfolio management, construction loan disbursements / advances, new deal review and underwriting, guarantor and borrower analysis, term sheet preparation, spreading and analysis of financial information, site visits, risk rating monitoring, and loan agreement compliance, among others. Incumbents will have the opportunity to join senior lenders on client meetings and calls, with the opportunity to freely network within the local and national commercial real estate industry. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Join an existing team of commercial real lenders, providing a mix of construction loans, bridge loans, and permanent financing secured by office, multi family, industrial, and retail properties (with some special purpose exposure);
Analyze and spread property level detail - operating statements, budgets / pro-forma cash flows;
Analyze and spread guarantor financial information and analyze guarantor wherewithal - personal financial statements, tax returns;
Support the team with preparation of credit / investment memorandums as a component of the credit approval process;
Support the team with analysis of new deals and financing opportunities - collect required information and review along with the lending officer.
Support the team with general portfolio management activities - loan monitoring, collection and review of required financial reporting information, loan maturity maintenance, risk ratings, perform site inspections.
Willingness to learn - growth opportunities in Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, Loan Processing, and Fund Control.
Opportunity to join senior lenders in client meetings, client calls - client exposure.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's Degree with coursework or concentration in Commercial Real Estate Finance / Investment;
Grasp of basic concepts in reviewing commercial real estate transactions (loan to value, loan to cost, debt service coverage ratio, rent rolls, property operating statements, cap rates, appraisals, valuation, market research, occupancy, absorption rates, property stabilization, etc.).
Interest in the commercial real estate finance industry - general understanding of differentiating factors of the major CRE asset classes.
Understanding and/or exposure to detailed construction budgets a plus (the construction process, project entitlements and permitting, etc).
A general knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate principles and financial analysis;
P.C. proficient with emphasis on spreadsheets (Word, Excel, Argus)
Excellent composing and writing skills
Above-average interpersonal skills; ability to communicate verbally with a wide range of people
Positive attitude and willingness to work
Responsiveness, judgment, maturity, integrity, and time management skills are required
Review and be knowledgeable of departmental and human resource's policies & procedures

SALARY RANGE
The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
