Position Summary
Office position crew members also work part-time as Challenge Course Facilitators. These positions require good communication and customer service skills. Applicants must have basic computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to answer the phone, take messages, direct calls, interact with the public, and support Mountain Campus administrative staff. Positions require excellent attention to detail and the use of discretion. Office staff needs to be flexible yet able to follow set work policies and procedures and must be motivated and able to exhibit a friendly customer service attitude under stress. Office staff are expected to handle credit card payments and facilitate purchases of retail items. Office staff assist with Mountain Campus communications by producing the Fall Mountain Gazette, monitoring our weather reporting, and changing the daily photo display. Additionally, office staff help create a sense of community for staff by planning and hosting staff events such as our end of the season celebrations, game nights, etc.
On the challenge course, facilitators work with a wide variety of groups leading team building initiatives, and low and high element experiences. Strong interpersonal abilities, time management, problem-solving, attention to details and safety, sound decision-making and technical skills are essential for the position. Experience with rope systems, climbing gear, belaying, group management, and public speaking are preferred. The ability to work independently and cooperatively is critical.

Brief Work Unit Description
Live and work in a beautiful mountain valley for the summer and/or fall season at the Mountain Campus. Be part of a small community of staff working towards a common goal to serve the Education, Research, and Outreach missions at Colorado State University. Enjoy the mountain lifestyle - hiking, fishing, mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, or lounging in a hammock with a good book - when you are "off-the-clock".
We have summer, fall, and full season positions open. (Summer season: Mid-May through Mid-August
Fall season: Mid-August to Mid-October)
A few items to be aware of in regard to these positions are:
Located 53 miles west of Fort Collins at9,000 feetin a remote mountain valley.
Housing and 3 meals daily provided as part of the compensation package.
Employees work a 32 - 40-hour work week with two days off each week
No pets or ESAs arepermitted
No cell phone service at the Mountain Campus

Essential Job Duties
Provide front-office support by answering phones, directing calls, processing payments, managing retail purchases, and assisting administrative staff.
Maintain accurate records and communications, including producing the Fall Mountain Gazette, monitoring weather reports, and updating daily photo displays.
