Our client is seeking a Compliance Counsel to join their team. As a Compliance Counsel, you will be part of the Legal Department supporting the Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Compliance Counsel

Location: Washington DC 20005

What's the Job?

Conduct compliance investigations, including witness interviews, reviewing and analyzing documents, drafting investigative reports, and presenting investigative findings.

Provide legal and risk guidance to the Investigations team on relevant investigative matters.

Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Security, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other internal partners on investigative and compliance issues.

Draft compliance communications and assist in designing and implementing risk mitigation initiatives.

Review and implement compliance controls and corporate policies to ensure adherence to legal standards.

What's Needed?

J.D. or equivalent degree with an excellent academic record.

Bar membership in good standing.

Six or more years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney.

Proven experience in leading and conducting investigations across various subject matters and jurisdictions.

Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
