We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and support a dedicated accounting team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will excel in overseeing full-cycle accounting operations while effectively managing a team. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle routine tasks as well as occasional special projects.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Lead and supervise a team of eight, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Monitor and maintain general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software, with the ability to adapt to new systems as needed.

Handle cyclical accounting functions while taking ownership of special projects as they arise.

Ensure timely month-end close processes, supporting the Controller as needed.

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging growth and development with attention to detail.

Evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Build and maintain strong working relationships within the team and across departments.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000.

Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including general ledger management and reconciliations.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, preferably with prior supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and audits.

Proficiency in accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly (experience with P21 is a plus).

Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle both routine and project-based tasks.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to foster teamwork and respect within the department.

Reliability and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting operations.

A stable work history that reflects commitment and consistency in previous roles.
