GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Press Helper is a line of progression job where the helper will fill in for the operator as needed. He or she will also provide support to the Sheeting/Press Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Feed materials into the press machine

Load and unload pallets of stock into the machines

Load chemicals and paint into the press machine and assist with troubleshooting issues

Able to climb up and down stairs to access the machines

Clean any spills on the floor and ensure the work areas remain tidy

Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Reliable transportation is required

Prior knowledge of safety programs is preferred

Ability to read and write complex instructions, correspondence, and memos

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Strong mathematical skills

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Capable of maintaining good attendance

Able to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods

Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
