We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to support our client's team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

Develop comprehensive financial reports and schedules to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance standards.

Implement and maintain internal control policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Facilitate collaboration with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax filings.

Assist in the consolidation of financial statements for international operations.

Prepare and file various tax documents, including income, sales, and property taxes.

Create detailed tax provision schedules for both domestic and international entities.

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize financial procedures.

Contribute to initiatives focused on streamlining and enhancing accounting processes.

Provide clear and effective communication to address financial concerns across departments.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing journal entries.

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

Experience with bank reconciliations and monthly sales tax filings.

Familiarity with financial reporting and tax compliance for domestic and international entities.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
