The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryThe Division of Neonatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in partnership with New-York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our evolving NeuroNICU program. The Nurse Practitioner will need to have or acquire specialized skills in use of neonatal neurological monitoring (head ultrasound, MRI, NIRS, aEEG and other tools) and neuroprotective strategies. This practitioner will be accountable for daily coordination of neuroprotective care in our NICUs, in partnership with the physician NeuroNICU Director.At CUIMC, we are leaders in teaching, research, and patient care and are proud of the service and support we provide to our community. Conducting clinical review of all head ultrasound and MRI measurements. Focusing on optimizing the use of aEEG and NIRS, and integration of emerging neuromonitoring technologies into NICU care. Managing a variety of clinical and research responsibilities. Ensuring high quality of neurological care. Efficiently utilizing resources and supporting ongoing program improvements. Collaborating closely with the MSCH NICU teams (nursing, frontline providers, physical therapy/ occupational therapy) as well as CUMC faculty (Neonatology, Neurology, Radiology). Assisting the healthcare team to promote optimal neurodevelopmental assessment and care through family-centered, culturally sensitive practices.
