You Are
We are seeking a seasoned and transformative Banking Industry Leader to spearhead our engagement with the world's leading financial institutions. This executive role is focused on establishing Google Cloud as the definitive platform for the banking sector's evolution, driving the adoption of our advanced Data, AI, and agentic technologies.
The Work
You will be responsible for helping banks modernize their core systems, manage risk in real-time, combat financial crime, and create hyper-personalized customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have deep credibility within the banking world, a profound understanding of its regulatory complexities, and a powerful vision for how technology can securely and intelligently reshape the future of finance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Industry Leadership: You will be the chief architect of Google Cloud's go-to-market strategy for the global banking industry. This involves developing a deep understanding of the market landscape, from global universal banks to regional institutions and digital-native neobanks. You will act as the senior voice of the banking customer within Google, translating complex industry needs-such as core banking modernization, open banking compliance, and real-time payments-into actionable strategies for our product, engineering, and security teams to ensure we are building the most trusted and capable cloud for finance.
Financial Transformation and Innovation: As a peer-level advisor to the C-suite at our most strategic banking clients, you will guide their most ambitious transformation initiatives. You will lead the development of innovative, industry-specific solutions that leverage Google Cloud to reinvent key banking domains, including retail banking, commercial lending, capital markets, and wealth management. This includes creating solutions for next-generation digital customer onboarding, real-time risk analytics, and developing new revenue streams through data monetization and platform-based business models.
Data, AI, and Risk Management: You will champion the use of Google's powerful Data and AI platforms to address the banking industry's most critical challenges. This involves helping banks break down deeply entrenched data silos to create unified data platforms for advanced analytics and reporting. You will spearhead the adoption of AI and machine learning for mission-critical use cases such as real-time fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML) pattern recognition, credit risk modeling, and algorithmic trading. Furthermore, you will drive the responsible use of generative AI and intelligent agents to transform customer contact centers and automate complex middle- and back-office operations.
Security, Compliance, and Trust: Trust is the bedrock of the banking industry, and you will be its ultimate champion on our platform. You will lead Google Cloud's strategy for meeting and exceeding the stringent security and compliance mandates of global and regional financial regulators (e.g., FFIEC, EBA, MAS, PRA). You will work directly with bank executives, auditors, and regulators to demonstrate our commitment to security and data sovereignty, building the confidence required for banks to run their most critical workloads on Google Cloud.
Ecosystem and Thought Leadership: You will be responsible for building and nurturing a world-class ecosystem of partners critical to the banking sector, including core banking software providers, FinTechs, and specialized system integrators. As the public face and thought leader for Google Cloud in banking, you will represent us at major industry events like Sibos and Money20/20, engage with influential industry analysts, and articulate a compelling vision for the secure, AI-powered future of banking.
