Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Laborer, where you will be involved in the production of modular trailers from scratch. In this role, you will perform repetitive installations and use basic hand and power tools to build consistent 8-foot trailers. After comprehensive training, you will be expected to become self-sufficient in your tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform production construction work to build modular trailers.

Complete repetitive installations using hand and power tools.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Assemble and build trailers following training and guidelines.

Utilize basic carpentry skills and follow blueprints.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Basic carpentry skills and ability to perform electrical tasks.

Experience with BC Cabling and construction labor.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 10 or any safety training.

Capability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Work Environment

Work in a large construction yard equipped with warehouse buildings featuring 20-foot garages for trailer assembly. Experience working both indoors and outdoors, with warehouse doors adjusted for weather conditions. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, offering a balanced work-life arrangement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
