Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a large, multi-task federal program, integrating enclave, data linkage, operations, and Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage functions. This position provides day-to-day task integration, serves as an alternate program lead, and ensures alignment with contract requirements and program priorities.
How You'll Make an Impact
Assist the Senior Program Manager in executing program strategies, plans, and roadmaps aligned with program priorities.
Lead coordination among task leaders for enclave, data linkage, operations, and PPRL activities to ensure integrated schedules, dependencies, and milestones.
Act as an alternate point of contact for contract leadership, representing the program to stakeholders in meetings and briefings.
Manage risks, issues, and action items, driving timely resolutions, mitigations, and associated processes.
Oversee program dashboards and metrics on performance, quality, security, and user satisfaction while recommending improvements.
Coordinate quality assurance efforts to ensure deliverables, documentation, and communications meet program standards.
Maintain compliance with FISMA Moderate, FedRAMP, CMS ARS, Zero Trust, and data governance policies in collaboration with task leads.
Support stakeholder engagement, communications, and outreach to maintain the satisfaction of researchers, studies, and partners.
Mentor task leads, program managers, and project managers to build leadership depth and strengthen continuity.
Assist in planning and managing smooth program transitions, including knowledge transfer, data, environments, and tools.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in bioinformatics, public health, epidemiology, informatics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience managing federal contracts, health data programs, or similar large initiatives, including cross-task coordination experience.
3+ years of experience as a deputy program manager, program manager, or task lead on comparable efforts.
Demonstrated experience managing teams of 40 or more staff for technical, scientific or research efforts.
Strong understanding of program and project management practices for scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholders.
Experience within Agile programs, contributing to iterative development, backlogs, and planning.
Familiarity with security, including FISMA Moderate, FedRAMP, CMS ARS compliance, or Zero Trust programs.
Ability to effectively coordinate technical and operational teams across diverse tasks.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance or higher.
Willingness to travel 10-25% for meetings and reviews in Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in bioinformatics, public health, epidemiology, informatics, public administration, or a related field.
Leadership experience on HHS, or other federal health data, enclave, or real-world data programs.
Certifications such as PMP, Agile, ITIL, or other credentials reflecting expertise in program and scientific research management.
Familiarity with NIH institutes and CMS data, including DUAs, linkage workflows, and secure access strategies.

The likely salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
