Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry level part-time Web Technician to join the Center for Instructional Technology and Training (https://citt.ufl.edu/) (CITT), a unit within UFIT.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.

Web Technicians assist Education Training Specialists and Web Services in theCenter for Instructional Technology and Training (https://citt.ufl.edu/) (CITT) to create accessible, visually engaging, and user-friendly digital content. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn and apply web accessibility tools-such as Site improve to review. Uses web tools to identify accessibility issues across UF websites. Knowledge of HTML & CSS preferred.

In-office position; work location: the Hub, room 221.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

Review web content and use accessibility tools to ensure ADA/WCAG compliance

Edit websites in web content management system using HTML and CSS

Good communication skills

Ability to deliver quality customer service

Expected Salary:

$16 an hour

Required Qualifications:

Ability to work with various teams

Detail oriented

Great communication skills

Knowledge of web programming languages such as HTML and CSS
